Automaphile is an installation that draws parallels between the emotional qualities of interpersonal relationships and our increasing emotional attachments to technology. The focus of the show was several stenciled pieces based off digital prints. The stencils were applied to different layers of plexi-glass with spray-paint and stacked together producing a multilayered effect. Each of the robots are constructed in stark contrast between their futuristic construction and the near-obsolete pieces of existing technology that comprise their cores.
