Contract was a show that attempted to bridge the gap between music and visual art through the act of a unified performance. During a period of 4 hours, a team of artists painted a three-panel mural in front of a live audience. At the same time a group of musicians performed. The show itself was a creative loop as both music and art influenced each other in real time. The final composition was inspired from a subversion of modern visual culture, both political and popular while the music was a blend of contemporary music and jazz. Within this framework Contract flowed between disciplinary boundaries to produce an experience that was completely unique.
